This underscores my point neatly: the darn things keep improving so fast it's worth waiting awhile before getting one. Eventually the learning curve will flatten and the changes between different releases will diminish. I called my favorite dealer and he suggested trying Finyl and CD Stoplight to improve the sound until the D/A situation stabilized. Has anyone else tried these treatments? Respond via email and I will compile the answers. -- ray
