The problem, of course, is the fact that the US is 110 v/60 Hz, while Hungary is 220/50. The voltage is no problem via a step-down transformer, but he could use some sound advice/personal experiences in dealing with the problems of using the 60 Hz version in 50 Hz land. I am using a C.Itoh printer that I bought in Hong Kong (also 220/50) here in Hawaii without any trouble, but the difference in price is great, and I wouldn't want to have him be guided by my experience alone. Even if he were to buy a European version now it wouldn't help, since he wants to use it now, and he'd have the same problem in reverse. He doesn't have an account yet, so please reply to one of the addresses below.-- osborne@uhccux.uhcc.hawaii.edu (preferred) | Larry N Osborne osborne@uhccux.bitnet | SLIS, 2550 The Mall | University of Hawaii at Manoa or via W.A.S.T.E. | Honolulu, Hawaii 96822
