Netware, and most other protocols that I have seen use LLC 802.2 and some well known SAP hung off of 802.2. I think however the question you are asking is what is the "common" name of the protocol that runs on IBM LAN equipment. It is commonly referred to as NETBEUI and provides 802.2 LLC class 1 and class 2 services. In addition, there is an IBM NETBIOS protocol which makes use of the LLC services. Larry Backman .
