a friend needs to hook up 386/MS-DOS, DEC uVAX/VMS, and DECstation/Unix
together with an Ethernet as cheaply as possible (but still reliable).

i'm only familiar with Sun products.  he's aware of a TCP/IP package from
CMU, but is otherwise unfamiliar with networking.  he may like NFS cap-
ability too.

can anyone give him pointers?
