Keywords: Windows 3.0, Expanded/Extended memory Message-ID: <62047@sgi.sgi.com> Date: 11 Jun 90 16:51:50 GMT Sender: fanj@remb6489.wpd.sgi.com Organization: Silicon Graphics, Inc., Mountain View, CA Lines: 15 I have 5MB extened memory(1MB on the motherboard, 2 Wang S-200 memory boards). And I just purchased an Intel About Board with 2MB configured wholly to expanded memory, in a 12MHZ 286 box. I got random errors from MS Windows 3.0, "Protection-mode violation; trying to get to real mode" since I have installed the Intel board. I also tried to use "win /I", and the machine got hung up sometimes. Does somebody have some idea? Thanks in advance. -- Fan Jiao(Chiao) x 1615 | M/S 9U-510
