And annoyed!! Please, please, please, before we waste further bandwidth on this, look at the article "How to Create a New Newsgroup" in comp.announce.newusers. This item, which you seem to be completely unaware of, describes the ESTABLISHED and LONG-STANDING procedure for creating a new newsgroup. You haven't made even a minimal effort to a] determine what the proper procedure is or b] follow it. You haven't posted a call for discussion, you haven't allowed anything remotely like a reasonable discussion peroiod, you haven't taken a proper vote or allowed the time for one; in short, you haven't made any attempt at all to do this in a "by the book" fashion. Regardless of the merit (or lack thereof) of your proposal, the net effect of this is that we have to wade through a lot of extraneous nonsense in your (possibly misguided) quest to not 'bother either "comp.protocols.iso" or "comp.protocols.tcp-ip"any more'. PLEASE! READ THE PROCEDURE! FOLLOW IT! We've only been doing this on the Net for several years now. And please, try to refrain from clogging this mailing list up with much nore of this. There is an appropriate forum for this discussion, AND THIS MAILING LIST IS _NOT_ IT!! |<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>| | David N.
