I recently upgraded my 1000 to a 2000 and in the process bought a GVP scsi controller with 2/8 megs populated. I am using this with a Conner CP-340 , 40 Meg hard drive. I seem to be getting a lot of software failures on disk-writes. I get gurus copying files using both amigados and ARP cp commands, while un-zooing archives, basically any time there's hd write access!! This tends to make the affected partition un- validatable upon reboot and forces me to re-format. Frequently (read: two out of three tries) I get a software failure while formatting a hard drive partition!! If anyone is aware of some incompatibilites between these two products, please let me know.... Brian Bishop ( brian@grebyn.com )
