The lack of copy protection on productivity software is a result of the demands of the purchasing public and the mode of use, NOT because the software companies think piracy is not a problem. Just how irritated would you get if you bought a $150 Word Processor, but found you could not install it on your hard disk because of disk based copy protection? Or how long would it take for you to trash your new spreadsheet if everytime you went to make your daily entries you had to enter a few choice phrases from the manual?
