Message-ID: <~D'$K!%@rpi.edu> Date: 11 Jun 90 20:35:15 GMT Organization: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY Lines: 17 I need a digitizer for some graphics work I'll be doing this summer. In addition, I am getting a new (actually my first) VCR. NewTek's DigiView, by all reports, is the most versatile and powerful digitizer on the market. I wanted to know if anyone out there has tried digitizing from both the S-VHS and VHS-HQ formats. Does the S-VHS really make a large difference in picture quality? I plan to get a camcorder and color splitter to go along with this, and am wondering if I am justified in spending the extra $$ on the S-VHS. Since this is a lot of money, (more than my A1000 was! :-) I hope that someone with some experience or knowledge can help. Thanks, Joe Peck peck@ral.rpi.edu "You can have any color you want, so long as it's black . . . or white or blue or green or any other of the 4096 we got!" - Me
