In the last week or two it suddenly will not boot - booting from another disk and then looking at the Profile's volumes works just fine though. He thinks that he needs a low level formatting to be done. He was told that there was 'no way' this could be done cheaply - it would be easier to buy a new drive. Isn't this just a matter of some software? What kind of software is available for this to be done? Someone else mentioned that there was some software for the Apple /// that could low level format the drives - my friend has access to one or more of those. Any help would be appreciated. -- Larry W.
