Message-ID: <107.2677926e@astro.pc.ab.com> Date: 14 Jun 90 18:34:38 GMT Lines: 32 This might be a rehash (were only 3 weeks old on NEWS), but here goes... About a year ago, several people from our organization met with DEC's disk experts on "futures" in the disk area. Out of that meeting came a promise for some (then existing) software that runs on the HSC which monitors the actual throughput (i/o's per second) of each disk. We never received that software and now find ourselves in even greater need for it. The main person who promised the software was Ken Bates. Questions: 1) Does anyone out there have a way (whether it's this software or another method) of monitoring disk activity regardless of which node it's coming from? (MON CLUSTER won't handle our 48 node MI, so don't even bother recommending that...) 2) Can anyone forward this to, or pass on Ken's Internet address so I can ask him myself? Thanks. -cpf -- C.
