my housemates, ignorant of modems and computers in general, got call waiting
without asking for my vote (sigh)...

i remember from many months ago a discussion on ways to temporarily disable
call waiting... something like dialing 70#... 

i also remember hearing that it didn't work in every exchange, so whom at
NYNEX can i ask for the straight story?
