Message-ID: <|D?$K9=@rpi.edu> Date: 13 Jun 90 14:11:53 GMT Organization: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY Lines: 31 I just joined this group and saw some comments on the ZEOS 386sx. Does anyone have anything to say about the 20Mhz 386? I called and they gave me the following quote: 20Mhz 386 4 meg main memory 64k cache 80meg IDE Connor hard drive 1.2meg Teac floppy 1.44meg Teac floppy NEC 3D 14" monitor VGA 512k 1024x768x256 2 serial ports 1 parallel port 1 game port Microsoft mouse Windows 3.0 DOS 4.1 $3395 Is this a good deal? I have been wandering through Computer Shopper, and it seems like a good deal. I need to run some engineering packages, such as matlab, and also some of my own graphics work, i.e. games! Since I will be doing a lot of compiling of large source code, is this a reasonable package? Any recommendations about this computer or any others would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time, Joe Peck peck@ral.rpi.edu
