It will *wipe* out your partition. It happened to me, and I though I contracted virus. I lost most of my development work, and FAT was all messed up. Even Norton DiskDoctor could not handle it. Information Week Magazine (June 11, 1990. Page15) reports on this problem. I believe there are many users of Ontrack system software because it is shipped with the hard disk.
