I think you've got it backwards. The tablet or mouse driver obviously should be able to move the cursor. IMHO, it should be the only software that moves the cursor. No one has mentioned this fact: It is impossible for an application to set the cursor position when an absolute device such as a tablet is being used because the tablet will immediately move it back.
