I am in the position of being able to get either a Mac IIfx or a Sparcstation. For personal reasons I prefer the Mac, but I am also hopelessly addicted to LaTeX and Emacs used together on Sun-4 workstations. What versions of LaTeX are available, either commercial software or public domain, for a Mac II? Do they offer an editor that is tailored to the LaTeX environment? Do they offer a previewer? Can the pool size of that brand of TeX be enlarged to allow very complicated pages to be composed? I know that there is a package called OzTeX that is some sort of LaTeX ported to the Mac. It is available primarily in binary form, though, and I am afraid that the pool size could not be increased with such a setup.
