SAD MAC ICON!!!!!******* Message-ID: <1990Jun13.063702.20941@portia.Stanford.EDU> Date: 13 Jun 90 06:37:02 GMT Organization: AIR, Stanford Universit Lines: 20 My SE/30 which has given me 1.5 years of trouble free service just freaked out on me. I turned it on and up came a sad Mac icon with the code: 0 0 0 0 0 0 F 0 0 0 0 0 0 A What in the world does this mean? Am I up the creek? What is strange is that the machine boots fine off floppy and the hard drive is recognized. In fact, if I run a few apps and then quit them, the system and finder on the Hard drive "take over." What is the matter with my machine? I am thinking and HOPING that it is system software related. What is first done when the machine boots up? Please help me ASAP as I am at school for only one more day and have access to the Network only one more day. Thanks very much in advance. ---Derek Fong fong@cive.stanford.edu thewho@portia.stanford.edu
