In the March 1990 Byte column of Jerry Pournelle (Chaos Manor),
Build Your Own Macintosh from Catalog Parts - The Cat Mac by
Bob Brant was mentioned.

Has anyone here seen the book and have comments about it.  It
was apparently self-published, and I must confess a certain
reluctance in ordering it sight unseen.  Some of the self-published
stuff I have seen is just useless.
