After the system has been running for a while, I hear a barely audible "snap", the cursor disappears, and the system freezes. I can get it back by rebooting. It has happened while running both word and excel. I have an SE/30 with 2 meg of memory and a 40 meg disk, running 6.0.5. Inits: I have gatekeeper, gatekeeper aid, and automac III. I'd appreciate any guesses about what's going on. Smells like a hardware problem to me, but I hope not. Pat
