If you think about it, that might be an advantage, because then you can easily disable stuff in the Apple menu by copying it into a folder in the same hierarchy, rather than sticking it off in a corner somewhere and then trying to remember where it should go to turn it back on. >As I say, the basic idea is a good one. What I've been told is that it won't be in 7.0 (which actually makes sense. The software isn't done, but we're far enough along that all the manuals, examples,t raining material, books, etc, etc, etc would all have to be changed, and that's a production nightmare) but it will be considered for down the road. So an open mind is being kept. Right now, the focus is fixing bugs, not adding new functionality and I'd personally HATE to find out system 7 slipped because of something like this. Especially since (hint, hint) what HierDA did for the old Apple menu, an INIT can do to the new Apple menu. This wouldn't be a tough thing to graft on the system with a patch of some sort. -- Chuq Von Rospach <+> chuq@apple.com <+> [This is myself speaking] Wherefore could I not pronounce 'Amen'?
