How does one force monochrome rendering on the four gray scale display
server? I am modifying Yap to create (cache) bitmaps at 300 dpi that I then
dump to an HP laserjet (no Postscript cartridge). The bitmaps are two bits
deep so the dithering for grays is off when I convert to mono. (the document
is /usr/lib/NextPrinter/testpage.ps)

Has anyone else tried to do this? I can't be the only nerd that blew his
budget on the CPU! :-)
