Specifically, I desire the following format: SECTION III Unit 8 Page 7 I am using the preprint style for the material. I have tried using \footline as I am accustomed to in plain TeX, but the page numbering refuses to change from a single arabic number centered at the bottom of the page. I am relatively new to AMSTeX and the manual has not shed any light on the problem. I have been told that the problem arises from AMSTeX taking over \footline and thus rendering it obsolete, but no one knows how to achieve the results I desire. I would appreciate any input on the problem and/or solution. Thanks in advance. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ron Pacheco "puh-check'-oh" 8-) NET Mail: ronp@cs.umr.edu
