If i have several virtual consoles open, like i usually do, and a bell is
printed by a program in a another window (as when the program is done, or
expecting further input, or because of an error, etc), the bell is not heard
unless the virtual console currently selected is the same as the console in
which the bell is to be sounded.  Most annoying.  

Has anybody else seen this and/or have a fix?
