Hello all,

   Right now I'm trying to get a file written by Xenix 3.5 running on an
 Intel 320 to a 9track tape (by using dd(1)) to a Burroughs 1900 running
 GEMCOS.  MCP keeps telling me that the records have a parity error.
 Is it because I don't have a header on the tape?  If so, what is the format
 of the header???
   Just to be thorough, this is what I am doing on the Unix (Xenix) side:

	(assuming I want to transfer a binary file named stuff )
	uuencode stuff stuff > stuff.uu
	  < I then put an extra character at the end of each line to 
	    avoid having the spaces get eaten >
	dd if=stuff.uu of=/dev/rxyt0 ibs=62 obs=80 cbs=80 conv=ebcdic

   Any help would be extremely appreciated!
