I wonder if anyone out there in wizard land can steer me towards the
(public domain, etc) source to a program which will : 

Call a number on a dialout modem port and, if a modem answers, start 
a getty on that port. 

I understand that SCO XENIX has a program called "ct" which will do
exactly that.  

I hope that someone else may have implemented this.   

I am running Gould (ENCORE) UTX 2.1b (pseudo-4.3) on a Gould box.

Please respond to me and I will summarize as necessary.
