I am looking for any information related to X application testing 
methodologies or tools.  

I'd like to hear about any X based record/play mechanism for recording
user/product interaction, and then replaying the recording to detect 
discrepancies.

I saw a reference to HP's Input Synthesis Extension a while back in
comp.windows.x - I'd like to get more information about this 
tool if anyone has experience with it.  Where can I get my hands on this?

I also am looking into the PERFORMIX EMPOWER/X tool that just came
out.  They don't do regression testing functions (replay/compare/report)
as yet, but they expressed interest in adding that feature.
Is anyone using this?
