A friend thought he saw something go through one of the source groups that would fit the bill. He thought it might have been a part of a replacement package for stdio, but a search of the subject lines in an archive of alt.sources, comp.sources.misc, c.s.unix, and who knows what else, turned up zilch on stdio or scanf. I looked in the small c compiler and found lots of library routines but no scanf. A search of the gnu c compiler turned up nothing of use. BSD sources turned up same as smallc. Any help is appreciated. Please respond to uunet!sir-alan!tefft or here, art100@psuvm.psu.edu.
