Lines: 17 Some time ago, someone suggested creating a newsgroup dedicated to discussing the Chinese Room problem. In the discussion that followed, this was taken as a rhetorical suggestion, and not taken seriously. Now, once again, comp.ai is flooded with Chinese Room articles. Can someone please create a dedicated newsgroup for this problem? This will create a suitable forum for the people who are interested in this philosophical problem, and spare the rest of us the endlessly repeated arguments/counter-arguments. Please do not take this message as a rhetorical one- I'm not suggesting that the Chinese Room problem is not worthy of debate, I'm just saying it generates enough interest that it should have a newgroup of its own.
