In Japan today, universities graduate 10 times as many engineers as they do lawyers. The US total of engineers includes Japanese who study at US universities. A number of US engineers are going to work for Japanese companies in To^kyo^. Should it be any wonder, then, why Japan is kicking our ass so badly in recent years? [The only reason why it isn't worse is that there is a reverse flow of Japanese engineers to the US. This includes those who are disgruntled about the cost of living in Japan, those who are too individualistic for the typical Japanese company, and last but not least Japanese women engineers, who are still provided inadequate career opportunities.] _____ | ____ ___|___ /__ Mark Crispin, 206 842-2385, R90/6 pilot, DoD#0105 _|_|_ -|- || __|__ / / 6158 Lariat Loop NE "Gaijin!
