Two Questions regarding Ingres.

1) We are currently running Version 5 on a VAX Cluster and are preparing for
   the quantum leap to Version 6. I am looking for information from anyone that
   has done this. Are there are any concealed pitfalls ?
   
   We need to convert the Administrative Test and Production databases to take 
   advantage of improved performance and increased functionality with V6.  

   But must leave the Student's (Teaching) & Staff's personal databases on 
   Version 5 until the end of the Academic/Teaching year. 

   We also have a significant number of ABF Applications in the Administrative
   DB which must run through the 5-6 Gateway until we incrementally convert 
   them to V6.
   
2) I am looking for information regarding Finance Systems written for Ingres.
   Gen.Ledger, Acc.Payable, Acc.Recievable, Assets & Deprec, Inv.Man, P.Order

   We currently have a modified 'Off the Shelf' package which is all Cobol.
   The Distributer is planning to convert it for Oracle which won't suit us 
   as all our Administrative Systems are Ingres.
