Don't make the mistake of avoiding vi, a robust editor that has been around for years and is still the choice of most UNIX users. If your system doesn't have EMACS, it's probably because there's not enough disk space to store the manual (which by the way, weighs in at about 115 lbs after you print it out) on line. Did you ever see the Saturday Night Live parody about the do-it-all product that supposedly would clean the floor, put out the cat, cook supper and tune up the car?
