Cleveland, Ohio, (USA) Lines: 19 In this discussion about encouraging the growth of domain names for UUCP sites, I haven't seen any discussion of the .US domain. The .US domain is administered by Ann Westine at ISI, and registration is free. The registration form is simple, and the name server support is included. There's only one big catch, and that's that the UUCP site _must_ be only one hop off the Internet. For example, my machine "seldon" is eligible, since its feed is from an Internet site, but some machine connected to seldon by UUCP would not be eligible unless registered under my domain with seldon serving as a gateway. I'm hoping to register under .US soon, when seldon will have the domain name seldon.clv.oh.us.
