The appletalk network and Kinetics AEG configuration is fine, we are using it to print to a LaserWriter II and things seem pretty solid. I am using the same configuration files for the QMS 2400 that I use for the LWII. When I try to print, the log file shows psbanner trying to send a break page coninuously. It appears to fail with a non-fatal error (I am not sure what it is at this point) and retrys, and retrys... My thought is that psbanner is sending a banner page that is incorrect. It is a short banner, v.s. a long banner so that is not the problem. Could it be a couple of control characters that are sent at the end of the buffer from psbanner that need to be different for the QMS 2400? I have checked the spool directory permissions and permission bit settings for the lpd filters and such. The Laserwriter II is working with the identical type of setup so I am pretty sure it is not a problem along those lines. If anyone has had similar problems with this beast, please reply with suggested resolutions. Post to this group or if I get replies to this account, I can summarize to the net. Thanks in advance for any help, Brad Christofferson bradley@riacs.edu 415-962-7761
