Message-ID: Date: 2 Jul 90 19:39:10 GMT Sender: news@crdgw1.crd.ge.com Reply-To: barnett@crdgw1.ge.com Organization: GE Corp. R & D, Schenectady, NY Lines: 26 I have been setting up a large CAP fileserver with a subset of the Sumex software. I found myself FTP'ing some files from a Unix machine to my Mac, onto the CAP file server. I stopped when I realized how stupid this was. There must be some way to go from binhex to CAP format without using a Mac. I have most of the Unix programs from Sumex. I use mcvert to convert BinHex files to MacBinary format. I need a Unix program that will convert a MacBinary formated file into the proper file .resource/file .finderinfo/file needed for a CAP server. I probably already have the program. The problem is finding out which one to use and writing a shell script to do this. Can someone save me some hours of head-scratching and tell me how to do this the easy way?
