To my knowledge there is no relationship between QUIPU and the NIST
X.500 effort, other than they both use the ISODE for the OSI
infrastructure.  Presumably they will interoperate as both will have
conform to X.500.

ISODE will be a part of the next BSD release.  Perhaps someone from
Berkeley might want to comment on time schedules.  All of the ISODE will
be ported.  The ISODE will remain in user space.
