Between a PS/2 Model 80 and an AS/400 Model 50 I am getting > about 18-21K cps under average to high load (on the 400). Does this > sound correct? Any ideas for fine tuning the PS/2 end? I haven't tried with an AS/400, but I've used the PS/2 and found that performance has a strange asymmetry. The PS/2 seems to send fast but receive very slow, like 20-40Kbytes/s with the TCP on either 1.1 or 1.2 AIX. I never looked at how to resolve it since the project I had to use AIX on only lasted a few weeks. My suspicion is that it is a bug in the AIX TCP/IP ack code.
