I think you mean the tn3270 which Berkeley modified from telnet code....
It is FTP-able from ucbarpa.berkeley.edu or uunet.uu.net....   
That version works on many unix systems...   
There are ports to HPUX and IRIS on iris613.gsfc.nasa.gov
and Dec 3100 on bimbo.tn.cornell.edu
