Supposedly, and this is third hand information, the chip has both 10BaseT and AUI outputs, and can be changed via software, on the fly, between them. Also, it doesn't appear that they have chosen a controller chip to mate with, but have some way of interfacing with controllers from Intel, AMD, OR National; ie: it works with all three.
