Does anybody know whether or not GVP is working on an 040 board for the 2000? If so, I might sell off my 2630 to get 040. If they are working on one: -are they going to use the same ridiculously expensive memory? -support UNIX? -support booting into 68000 mode -have option (or include) a large external cache? -Have support for high density SIMMs (4 or 16 meg)? I hope that they come out with a memory system that is considerably cheaper. Their nibble mode RAM does not seem to have many advantages at low clockrates. My 2630 performs wonderfully, granted a little slower than the GVP, but it also costs MUCH less.
