I am sitting on an ST that I have grown tired of. WHat I am hoping is that a few people on this newsgroup can e-mail some suggestions/advice/general information. First off, I am low on funds and heavily into graphics, framegrabbing and genlocking, as well as raytracing etc.... This Ami2000 has two floppies and that's it, just a standard 2000 out of the box. I may get the monitor, I may not. if you feel the energy please e-mail with info on the following areas -cheap color monitors -midi interface -accelerators -new chipset -Kickstart(what is it? why is it? who is it??) -hard drives, how/is there a scsi port? -framegrabber/genlock/digitiser -anything else that will persuade purchase the 2000. Other things I am interested in are network cards? any?? appletalk or ethernet? One thing I do not want is a computer that I have to turn on and wait an eternity for it to wake up and reach userlevel OS. I guess I am asking if the OS is in ROM or disk form. thanks to all wilson_o@jhunix.hcf.jhu.edu wilson_o@jhunix.bitnet !uunet!aplcen!jhunix!wilson_o
