I too have an STe from Canada, which has hard disk problems. I have
two questions:

1) Has Atari admitted to any problems, will the be a replacement chip,
for free maybe for this problem?

2) Since I know that a hardware fix is unlikely for awhile, I need to
do backups more often. But backing up a 85 Meg drive is hours of works
and about 100 floppies. So thought I "I'll get a tape drive." But now
I have a new problem -- does anyone make backup software that
understands SCSI tape drives (cassette type)?
