Message-ID: <1631@blackbird.afit.af.mil> Date: 27 Jun 90 14:12:09 GMT Distribution: na Organization: Air Force Institute of Technology; WPAFB, OH Lines: 21 X-Local-Date: 27 Jun 90 07:12:09 PDT My wife has finally (after 3 years) given me permission to buy a hard drive for my 1040ST. My original thoughts were to roll my own, using a Seagate 65M, 28ns (don't remember the number off the top of my head) drive. However, in the June 1990 issue of ST World I saw an ad from D & P Computer Supply for some complete hard drive systems that use Seagate drives and the ICD host adaptor and comes in an enclosure. I assume that it also has a power supply built in. The prices ($655 for the 65M drive) sound reasonable, since all of the work is already done. My question: Has anyone had experience with D & P Computer Supply in general, and with their hard drives in particular? Any advice, good or bad, would be deeply appreciated. Please e-mail, I will summarize if asked. Thanks a lot! David E. Bell dbell@afit-ab.arpa
