I'm interested in getting another IDRIVE, and it seems that this will
be difficult consequent to the demise of SS.

It seems to me, tho, that you should be able to produce your own
IDRIVE given the software (which I have) and the proper disk drive and
cable.  Do you have any knowledge/thoughts on that?
