Lines: 23 We have just upgraded to Umax 4.3. All in all it seems pretty good. The major problem is that our rpc.mountd's keep on hanging. This means our suns cannot mount any more filesystems until the mountd is killed (inetd then starts up a new one and all is fine for a while). Since we are running automounters on the suns which often umount and mount filesystems, this is a major problem. Also, rlogin hangs at the passwd prompt when going from the Encore to our ELXSI (running Enix 4.3). Not even ~ escapes will work. The connection times out after 60 seconds. Finally, the INSTALL script in /usr/etc/install for setting up the Encore as a server for Sun clients doesn't cope with the SunOS4.1 install tape. Any help on the above problems would be most welcome. mike -- _--_|\ michael lawley (lawley@cs.mu.OZ.AU). / \ Melbourne University, Computer Science \_.--.*/ v I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere.
