We also thought doing hardware flow control & carrier detection was a good
idea.  Unfortunately, the Annexes don't do both simultaneously.  We asked
Encore about it, and got a definite "no".

This restriction is one of the few problems of the Annexes, which otherwise is
a very nice terminal server.  We had hoped that it would be fixed in the Annex
II, but it seems to have the same problem.

Maybe the Annex III will do it right.
