Actually the speakers inside the PC's are probably 10 cents each in bulk
quantities... I suppose noone wants to put in a "non-standard" speaker,
if some PC-clone manufacturer decided to take a sounds card and merge it
into the system, hell, I wouldn't mind having it as an extra feature.
