I have a colleague here who would like to develop a NetBIOS application off-site. He asked me to post this query. Is there anyway to "simulate" netbios on a stand alone PC? I guess he would just like to be able to make NetBIOS calls and have the program continue. Obviously, whatever the NetBIOS call was meant to do would not be done. Is there a way to do this, or is this just a weird idea? (I vote the latter, but I told him I'd ask.) He suggested that PCLan has a NetBIOS and wondered if we could somehow use that? Any ideas? PLEASE E-mail responses. I cannot keep up with this group. If anyone would like copies of any responses I get, E-mail me. Thanks in advance for any ideas... db _______________________________Daniel Barron__________________________________ | E-mail: barron@wharton.upenn.edu "Hunger only for a taste of justice. | barron@scrolls.wharton.upenn.edu Hunger only for a word of truth." | barron@rm105serve.sas.upenn.edu --Tracy Chapman | USMail: Suite 1400, 3620 Locust Walk _____________________________________|_________Philadelphia, PA 19104________
