Hiya,

  I've got a LaCie Cirrus 105Q (Quantum mechanism) which, like all LaCie
Cirrus drives, doesn't have a status LED (Their drivers flicker a cluster of
pixels in the upper left corner of the screen.  This is great, but isn't
exactly compatible with some things, like my 24-bit card, or my Radius Pivot).

Question:  How hard is it to wire up a status light to one of these drives?
What sort of LED would I use?  Part numbers, anyone?
