The IM II has a "print quality" switch on it, which > is (I think -- I have an IM I, which has no such thing) analagous to the > Print Quality you see on the standard Mac Print Dialog box. (E.g., "Best", > "Faster", "Draft"). However, the IM II manual says that the print quality The print quality switch on the IM II is only used when the printer is printing in "Draft" mode. Draft mode only prints text from the font in the printer, the switch tells the printer how many passes to take on the line of text. Tell your father to print in draft and change the switch. This is not to be confused with Faster and Best quality which are really printing graphics. These modes of printing are completely controlled by the computer hooked up to the printer, and these are what prints just like to Mac screen. --Mike -- +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Mike Baillargeon | As expected all opinions stated | | mike@dayton.DHDSC.MN.ORG | are my own and mine alone. | |----------------------------------------|---------------------------------| | If I am elected, 2 Macintosh's in every office. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
