In stead they tried to sell me HC 1.2.x (which is indeed a later version than my somewhat obsolete HC 1.0.1). Their argument was that HC 2.0 does not work with system 6.0.3 (the system I am currently running). It would require system 6.0.5. or later (is there a later version?) They would not sell me system 6.0.5 either, saying tht it would take "major upgrades" (whatever that may mean) in the rest of my software. I don't believe anything of what the said. They are just trying to get rid of their old stock of HC 1.2.x packages. I have a few questions about it, and I hope there are some informed people out there in NetLand that can answer them: 1) Is it true that HC 2.0 requires system 6.0.5 and will not work with 6.0.3? (Neither the original press release nor any of the follow ups made any reference to this.) 2) Is it really so hard to upgrade from system 6.0.3 to 6.0.5? Any information on the subject will be appreciated. Thanks for helping. Huub van Thienen (huub@cs.kun.nl)
